It’s the 20th of December 2012, which means it’s time for a reminder that applications for Viable Paradise XVII open up on 1 January 2013. Guidelines and further details can be found at the VP web page.
Viable Paradise is a one-week workshop focusing on fantasy and science fiction, held annually in the autumn on the New England island of Martha’s Vineyard. A couple of pictures, below the fold:
One of the ferries that runs from Woods Hole, Massachusetts, to Martha’s Vineyard. The other way to get on to the island is via Cape Air.
And this is the Gay Head Lighthouse in Aquinnah, Massachusetts. (It gets its name from the brightly colored clay cliffs of the headland it stands on.) Martha’s Vineyard has no fewer than five lighthouses — Gay Head, West Chop, East Chop, Edgartown, and Cape Pogue. They’re all worth visiting.
Finalized by app this morning. Now I’m trying to decide: Send, or burn? Fun!
Oh, send, by all means!
